Once upon a time there was Hallmark. {shop name} It was the beginning of February and the mangers noticed a huge decrease in sales during the previous months, which resulted in the company practically going bankrupt. They needed to think of a solution to this problem before things got worse so all of the staff members put their heads together to try to think of a way to get themselves out of this fix. All of a sudden, one of the employees, Bill Valentine, said, "I know! We'll invent a holiday where people have to buy things like chocolates, teddy bears, and cards to give to their loved ones and it will undoubtedly bring us more customers, since that's exactly the kind of stuff we sell!". So it was decided that this special holiday would take place on the 14th of February every year. They named it "Valentine's Day" in honor of Bill, who thought up the idea. Every year since then, people have been celebrating this "holiday" and the Hallmark workers laugh all the way to the bank because of their tricky scheme to make us spend more money.
